It's been long

Facebook has this kind of reminder thingy where it reminds you what you did or post on today few years ago. It is really nice as you can reminisce what you have done years ago.
It was 14th Dec that day. Facebook reminds me of what I did on 14th few years back. Actually 14th Dec is a hug day for Koreans, it is some kind of Valentine's day. It is a day that have different meaning for me. Kind of anniversary but doesn't worth to be celebrated for. It marks the 6th consecutive years of me being single since my last relationship.
I didn't know that relationship would make me stay single for so long. It has been a precious memory for me but it also haunt me about being in a relationship. I wish my heart wouldn't be hurt like this anymore in the future.

Sometime even until now, I will be emotional thinking about the memories I have had. Not because of the particular person, but because of the particular memories.

What does Clubbing means to you?

I have always like the idea of clubbing. To some people, clubbing to them is associated with a bad meaning, getting drunk and out of control, or even involve in some drug related substances. Actually, clubbing isn't that bad nor dangerous as what your parents told you. But it is undeniable that you need to listen to your parents' advice on be extra careful when you go to club.

So what does clubbing means to me? To me, clubbing is a form of relaxation for human being, both physically and mentally. Clubbing isn't just about swallowing alcoholic liquid and moving your body to the left and right. It is a form of socializing with your friends, get to know your friends better and even get to know new friends.

For this to happen, first and foremost, you have to mingle with the right people. The right people I mean here are not those usual gang that you went out with having tea or coffee session. These persons must be outgoing, sociable, and most importantly a drinker. If he or she doesn't drink, why would you want her/him to be at the club? Don't tell me orange juice taste better at clubs.

Secondly, you would need someone who are good at playing games. I am not referring to those games with full concentration like chess. I am talking bout card games, dice and some simple and easy to play games. We usually play games like Big Two (or better known as Chor Dai Dee), Blackjack or dice games. You don't have to be really good at it, knowing the basic rules will do. If these games are too boring, you will always have that someone who always have new games to introduce to you all.

Thirdly, it is always an advantage to club with someone who can dance. The dance here I am not referring to those hip hop or b-boy, those street dance. I am talking about those who can feel the music and move with the rhythm. If you still don't get it, we need someone like 'I jump, you jump'. We don't need fancy clubbers who dance like a pro, all we need is someone who can "move it move it" together with us.

Not forgetting this, I shall advise you to club with small gang, around 5-6 people is the best. Why? If you ask me isn't it the more the merrier, I will say NO. The more people you have, the less fun you get. When we go to club, there is an opportunity to know new friends. If you tend to party with a whole bunch of friends, all you get to mingle with the same bunch of people. We Malaysian are still very shy in approaching people. How la people dare to approach you when you are surrounded with one whole gang of people? Do remember this, lesser people more space.

Talking as if I am a frequent clubber, actually I am not. I don't remember when was the last time I went to a club, maybe around 2 years ago. Why? Because I have always been to club with a whole bunch of people. And in the whole bunch of people, not everyone drink or dance. With these people around, the level of FUN-ness will surely get reduced. I am a very cautious people, I don't get to really free myself when I am with people that I am not close with. I have yet to really get the right people to club with. But I do have form my own gang of drinking buddies.

My drinking buddies
We always went to nearby for a drink session and until recently, we went for another round at a place slightly further than our homes. This time, we not only went for just a drink, we also went to club. I think it has been over 2 years since I last went to a club. And probably the best one of all the clubbing experiences I have it here (except for the one I visited in Busan back in 2012).

There is no dance floor nor any Kpop songs (my fav) played but I do enjoy myself to the most. I don't dance like there is no tomorrow, but through dancing I have shredded off all the stress accumulated since I started working after graduated from my degree course. My shoulder feel much more lighter than before and I feel refreshed, both my mind and body. I know there are people out there thinking clubbing is a waste of time and money and is an unhealthy lifestyle. Different people have and prefer different methods to release stress. I am not saying that one should go clubbing whenever they have a need to release stress. Go for clubbing once in a while wouldn't really damage you that much isn't it? I am not asking you to visit very high end clubs and drink tonnes of alcohol or drink some fancy wine or champagne. Just bear in mind that having moderate alcoholic drinks can help in blood circulation. And dancing actually makes you feel younger, at least in your heart.

You must remember, you only live once. Why not try something fast pace and exciting while you still have the energy and passion? It wouldn't feel the same when you do it at a later age though you are doing the same thing. Youth doesn't stop for you and do appreciate and make use of it when you are at it. Go to clubs people!

Have you #Moonshot ?

Moonshot Flagship Store

During my last trip to South Korea, I got to discover a brand new beauty brand by YG Entertainment called Moonshot. If you are not sure on what is YG Entertainment, it hosts popular artists such Big Bang, 2NE1, PSY, newbie Winner and yet to be debuted IKON and also my favourite, Lee Hi (이하이).

Moonshot was launched in October 2014 and I happened to visit their first ever flagship store in Samcheongdong like after five days the shop's grand opening. How I discover it was purely by accident as I am not into YG Entertainment and thanks to my travel companions who are so into YG Entertainment, be it their artists and their business line. Actually none of us know the exact location of the shop. One of my companions know that YG has launched a beauty brand but thought it will be located at Gangnam area. One of the purposes going to Samcheongdong was to look for Innisfree Jeju House. Upon coming out from Innisfree Jeju House, my friend discovered Moonshot store and as a fan of YG, it is a must for them to visit. I still remember clearly that three of them made a move to the store first while I waited for another friend in front of Innisfree Jeju House.

If it weren't for my friends, I wouldn't dare to step into the store. Ever wonder why wouldn't I dare to go in? I remembered I was totally shocked on my first step in the store. My friend and I were greatly welcomed by Moonshot staffs, ALL MALE STAFFS dressed smartly in black. The nervousness in me grew bigger the longer I was there. And I clearly remembered I was near to explode when I saw the two guys at the stairs coming down from first floor. My fangirl mode was on the entire time I was there. Seriously, who can resist when you are surrounded by good looking guys around you and they will smile at you whenever you look at them?

It wasn't in my shopping list as I do not even know bout this brand. Compared to other familiar K-beauty brands such as Innisfree, Nature Republic, etc, it is way more pricey be it their skincare or makeup products. They are in comparison with big brands like MAC, Bobbi Brown, etc. Moonshot have both skincare and makeup products but their main focus is their makeup. They have two lines for the make up items, Color Moonwalk and Too Good To Be True. Their Color Moonwalk series are specially made for multi-purpose use.
Kwon Jun Woo, one of the staffs that makes my heart fluster

All the staffs their aren't just ordinary sales promoter like what we always see in other makeup brand stores. All the staffs are skillful makeup artist where they are known as makeup expert there. Their hospitality are really great which made me unexpectedly decided to try their makeup. I was introduced to the lip tint called Cream Paint. It has a creamy texture and the brush is shaped to imitate a finger as if you are using a finger to apply the tint. I have a allergic lips where my lips are always chapped and it is always best for me to avoid putting any lip product on it. The finger-like brush is really interesting and I would really like to try one. I courageously asked the staff to choose a colour for me and I was introduced to a natural shade, Strawberry Gelato. And this was where my whole body started to melt.

I was introduced to this Strawberry Gelato shade by the one of the makeup expert, Seo Chang Hyun. I was ready to try it on my hand, but rather than that, he actually drew it on his hand instead. A female staff who stood across me, who knows how to speak mandarin, was signalling him to offer to try the tint on my lips. The soft-hearted me agreed right away when he looked at me. He gently put on the tint on my lips, and he then put on lip gloss too as my lips were chapped. Then the female staff was signalling him to put tint on my cheek as blusher. And of course he did that by gently tapping the tint on my cheeks (at this moment I was already blushing even without the tint). Due to autumn season, my skin were dry due to the cold wind. And he quickly spray some mist on my face and gently tap on it. I couldn't help smiling from ear to ear the entire time. I mean, how could one resist when a good looking guy put on make up for you with gentle care? I was totally melted. And of course, I bought the Cream Paint that he recommended me.

My hauls from Moonshot

For the three weeks I was in Korea, I visited the store for four times. Yes, I know I am thick-face. I just couldn't stop thinking about Moonshot while I was there. I just want to be there, see the handsome faces of the staffs before I leave Korea for good. While I truly understand the staffs there are just providing their professionalism in treating every customers like a VIP and maintaining a good relationship with everyone of us, let me just have some fantasies that I am a special one to them, at least to one of the staffs.

Playroom at 2nd floor

Moonshot currently have two offline stores, one flagship store in Samcheongdong and one in Shinsegae Department Store. They also have a kind of like pop-up store in Common Ground, a new must-visit attraction site. Of course, they do have online stores where everyone from every corner of the world can purchase their items as they ship worldwide (probably not in North Korea though). Moonshot currently has three online sites cater for different people as per below:

My advice is that one should fly over to Korea and purchase the item in store. First, it is always better to get their own personnel to teach you on the exact way of using the item and the most suitable shades for better result. Secondly, you must try the hospitality of their warm, gentle and good looking staffs. And oh, they have a Cha Seung Won lookalike makeup expert in their Samcheongdong store. Isn't this reason enough to make you fly over to try Moonshot now? His name is Park Dong Min, do keep this in mind when you visit there ya! When you are done with your shopping, they will escort you to the front door and give you a high five before exiting the premise.
